Powderham Castle
Kenton
Devon

Built over 600 years ago, Powderham Castle is the historic home of the Earl of Devon. The Castle is still lived in by the Courtenay family and is one of England's best known Stately Homes.

The Castle lies in a beautiful setting in an ancient deer park alongside the River Exe and is at the centre of a large traditional estate of about 4,000 acres, on which the Lost Weekend festival will be staged, courtesy of the Earl and Countess of Devon.

Directions
From the M5 leave at Junction 30 (Sandygate) and proceed towards Exeter joining the A379 in a southerly direction. Continue over the Countess Wear Roundabout. Take the first exit left on the A379, signposted to Dawlish, then follow Powderham Castle brown tourist signs. The castle entrance is in the village of Kenton, on the left hand side.
