Fred Deakin

Fred Deakin has been described as a ‘vinyl junkie and disc jockey’ since his early teens as a post-punker – some 20 years ago! He honed his DJ craft in London in the eighties, before moving to Edinburgh where he was involved in a series of legendary club nights including Thunderball, Misery and Going Places.

Moving back to London, Fred created the experience known as Impotent Fury, which he launched at the 333 club in early 2000. His eclectic mix of soft rock, Northern soul, country & western, techno, hip-hop and drum & bass has earned him gigs at Hyde Park – for Prince Charles - at the Serpentine Gallery, where Steve Martin was his warm-up man, at the Sonar festival in Barcelona and the Big Chill in Dorset.
