Weather2Flights.com Takes Off for Travellers

July 08, 2008 - Press Dispensary - Weather2Flights.com (http://www.weather2flights.com), a spin-off from the successful worldwide holiday weather guide, Weather2Travel.com, is marrying meteorology and flight information to provide a guide for business and leisure travellers. This new website helps travellers select holiday destinations based on airline routes, (whether served by low cost airlines, full service airlines or charter airlines), flight duration and climate.

Weather2Flights.com combines airport weather guides from Weather2Travel.com with flight schedules from Innovata LLC, the world leading distributor of air timetable information. The resulting database covers over 45,000 routes flown by nearly 700 airlines into 3,500 airports.

Thanks to Weather2Flights.com, travellers can check the weather and climate conditions at any destination for any time of the year. So, if someone wants to fly Monarch to Murcia when there’s moderate heat and humidity or British Airways to Bahrain for baking hot sunshine; or see all the places Ryanair reaches where it’s not raining; Weather2Flights.com is the place to go.

Alternatively, travellers can use the handy ‘Flight Planner’ for inspiration and search for travel destinations based on departure point, flight duration and preferred weather conditions.

For example, someone based in northwest England planning a trip in September with a flight time of no more than five hours to a destination where daytime temperatures do not exceed 30°C, where each day there are at least ten hours of sunshine and the sea is comfortably warm, would find three destinations served by six airlines that satisfied these requirements; flying First Choice, Thomas Cook or Excel from Manchester to Rhodes or Zakinthos in Greece, or flying with any one of the six airlines that fly directly from Manchester to Paphos, Cyprus.

When ready to book, travellers are invited to click directly through to the airlines’ websites or a number of travel portals. Each site opens in a new window, making it easy to compare prices and secure the best deal.

Furthermore, Weather2Flight.com also shows where all the major airports in the world are located, complete with Google mapping; which airlines operate in and out of every airport; which airlines operate directly between any two airports or cities; which airports each airline flies into; and typical flight times between airports.
