Click for higher resolution About Brighton Naked Bike RideEvery June, in cities around the world, people ride bikes naked to celebrate cycling and the human body. The World Naked Bike Ride (WNBR) demonstrates the vulnerability of cyclists on the road and is a protest against oil dependency. Organisers encourage participants to "be there, as bare as you dare!".The Brighton Naked Bike Ride has taken place every year since 2006. 700 people rode in 2009 (growing from 400, 180 and 160 in previous years). Up to 1,000 riders are expected in 2010. As of the 2007 ride, following negotiations with Sussex Police, full nudity is permitted at the event.
