Press Dispensary's press release distribution service sends your multimedia release out, on your behalf, to journalists, editors and other opinion formers, using a press list which we manually compile and carefully target, on a release-by-release basis, using our database of over 80,000 contacts. This is in addition to reaching the many journalists who have registered to receive releases directly from us.

Each release can include your logo and up to two images, with options for further images.

We also publish the release here on our site, on our news feeds and in your own, free online press office which includes a personalised RSS news feed.

Media targets
Before distributing a press release, Press Dispensary carefully selects the media contacts that should be targeted. Each press release is evaluated and a bespoke mailing list is tailored to the content and angle of the story, the target audience, the relevant industry sectors, and the geographic location concerned.

For example, if your business operated in the healthcare sector, we would target medical and health-related publications, healthcare journalists writing for national newspapers and magazines, freelancers who cover this topic, etc. However, if you ran an internet-based shop, we would target internet magazines, trade publications, IT correspondents at the national titles, tech-related freelancers, etc. If you were launching a service aimed solely at the residents of Leeds, we would target the local press in that area.

Before your release goes out, we'll send you a list of the publications we're aiming it at, for your comments and approval.

And as part of our distribution service, we'll include your release in our syndicated feeds to major news sites, we'll publish it on this site and we'll include it in our email digest which is regularly distributed to journalists and opinion formers with whom we have special relationships or who have opted in via this site.

We'll also add your release to your own, free online press office and your own, personalised RSS news feed.

Newsworthy releases
We will only undertake to distribute your release if we believe it's newsworthy and editorially appropriate. We're not in the business of charging our clients for releases that have no future. We'll happily vet your initial submission for free and we'll only invoice you if we believe it's worthwhile. Sometimes we may contact you if we spot minor mistakes or can suggest editorial changes that may help your announcement gain better coverage.

How our service works

1. Fill in our order form, selecting whether you would like distribution only or our full writing & distribution service.
2. A media relations professional will vet your information. If it's suitable for distribution, we'll email you to confirm the order, attaching an invoice for the service. 3. We will send you a list of proposed recipients for your comments and approval.
4. Distribution will take place by individualy addressed email to a targeted list drawn from our 80,000 contacts.
5. The release will be syndicated to major news sites, news aggregators and others who take our news feeds, as well as being published on this site and included in our email digest and RSS news feeds. It will also be published in your free online press office and via your own, personalised RSS news feed.
