Battersea Contemporary Art Fair

At Battersea Arts Centre, London, May 11-13, 2007

March 05, 2007 - Press Dispensary - Battersea Contemporary Art Fair (BCAF - http://www.bcaf.info), one of the largest, most popular independent art exhibitions in the UK, returns to Battersea Arts Centre, London, on May 11-13, 2007.

More than 3,500 people are expected to attend the annual event, now in its thirteenth year, which showcases over 150 established and flourishing contemporary artists who benefit from being able to sell their work directly to the public, commission free. Buyers can meet the artists and obtain original works - costing from GBP £40 to GBP £4,000 - without a gallery or agent taking a cut, which can mean savings of 40% and more. BCAF is particularly renowned for the photography, print-making and sculpture on display.

Maria Newton, owner and operator of BCAF, comments: “In a crowded market space, the Battersea Contemporary Art Fair consistently provides the public with outstanding choice and quality, and unprecedented personal access to the artists.”

Two for one reader offer: BCAF is making available a ‘two tickets for the price of one’ offer to readers of select publications. Interested editors should phone Maria Newton on 0870 286 0066 or 07747 800001.

BCAF is open from 6-9pm on Friday May 11 and 11am-5pm on Saturday May 12 and Sunday May 13 at the Battersea Arts Centre, Battersea Old Town Hall, Lavender Hill, London, SW11 5TN. Tickets are available on the door and entry costs GBP £6 / GBP £4 concessions (accompanied children under 16 gain free entry). Booking information for artists is at http://www.bcaf.info .
