Orgtopia Unleashes New Date for Popular Executive Coaching Seminar
2009-06-22
June 22, 2009 - Press Dispensary - After experiencing high demand for its last Executive Coaching Workshop, specialist training consultancy, Orgtopia, is running another fixture on 2 October, 2009 in Covent Garden, London.
The day will show managers how they can use coaching to improve team performance dramatically. Giving a thorough grounding in the fundamental skills of coaching, as well as touching on some more advanced areas, the course would also be useful for those who are moving into a coaching career.
Topics covered are: self-awareness; development responsibility; key skills such as questioning and listening; using the GROW model to develop a coaching conversation; clean language and cognitive behavioural coaching.
The course is backed up by the theories of Tim Gallwey, Aaron Beck, Graham Alexander and David Grove. Course instructor and executive coach, however David Hinde, says: "The course won’t be just boring theories. We include plenty of exercises to practise coaching techniques in groups and on a one-to-one basis."
Paul Carden of South Bank University said of the last event: "It was motivating, empowering and reinforced positive self-beliefs."
Angela Banda from charity, Hartwigcare, thought it was simply “excellent!”.
David is one of the top management trainers in the UK and has worked in a wide variety of settings for clients such as the BBC, the British Army, Citigroup and the NHS. He often uses coaching in his management consultancy work to bring about sustained behavioural change. During the day, he’ll provide case studies to show how coaching has achieved business results. When he isn't coaching executives, David swaps his suit for sallopettes and teaches skiing at the Hemel Ski Centre. "Surprisingly there are a lot of ski coaching techniques that work just as well in the board room as on the piste," he says.
The event will take place at WallaceSpace in Covent Garden, which offers sofas for relaxation in the breaks, a kitchen stocked with jelly beans, fruit and biscuits and a charming café for lunch.
The course costs £295 but there's early bird discount rate of £245 for those booking before the end of July 2009. Also anyone who brings a colleague will receive a 20% discount.
