The 50kw (170,000BTU) Eco Wood Burning Swimming Pool Heater (RRP £2,640) is the first commercially available wood burning system capable of heating swimming pools of up to 15,000 UK gallons. It is now available in the UK from H2ofun, at an introductory price of £1,980.

The Eco Wood Burning Swimming Pool Heater meets pool owners’ key needs. It uses sustainable biomass, so it’s environmentally friendly. It’s cheaper than rival models: users can cut the cost of heating a large 32ft by 16ft pool from around £20 per session to nearer £3. And it's fast working: only half a day is required to heat the expanse of cold water to an optimum swimming temperature, while smaller pools can be heated from cold in under three hours.
