Perfect Cycling Holidays in Croatia

April 11, 2012, Press Dispensary. CycleToursUK is pleased to offer four new cycling tours in Croatia during May and September 2012. Chris Dawson, founder of CycleToursUK, recently completed a “recce” of the coastal and mountainside terrain and found perfect cycling conditions: excellent roads, gentle coastal rides, Alpine-type climbs, harbour-side dining, friendly locals and stunning views, as well as great accommodation and food.

The tours, with a choice of two long weekends in May and two in September, last four days each and include the transfer of bikes from the UK, flights via Dubrovnik (a small, pleasantly manageable airport two hours from the UK) and accommodation at Villa Sunrise, a large villa just outside Dubrovnik with unrivalled views and a private pool, just perfect for groups of six to eight cyclists. The choice of dates avoids the hottest part of the summer.

The holiday is for experienced cyclists and includes coastal routes and island crossings (with swimming stops!) as well as mountain climbs and a crossing into Bosnia. The recent history of the region is darkly fascinating, and the difference between the countries immediately apparent upon crossing the borders.

About the tours
The tours are planned for the off season to avoid the hottest days of summer, with proposed departure dates of May 19th,May 24th, September 22nd and September 27th. The price is £990 per person.
