Marble Heating Co.'s Stone Radiators Win Product of the Year Award at the Design and Decoration Awards 2005

Hundreds of entries were judged on aesthetics, value for money, use of materials, originality, sustainability and environmental responsibility. The expert judging panel evaluated the natural stone heating units as ‘elegant, new and unusual’. The judges pointed out that such a design feature was great value for money and with its economic and efficient heating attributes, was unrivalled in its category, defeating strong competition from well established names in the industry.

Marble Heating Co. was the first retailer to introduce marble radiators to the UK. Its bespoke range now includes over 40 types of marble, granite and limestone radiators in various colours and finishes and with the possibility of almost any shape, size and power output. Thanks to the stone's heat retention properties, the electric radiator only turns on to maintain the required temperature in a room for 10-15 minutes per hour. Heat is radiated evenly, resulting in fewer of the hot or cold spots that are characteristic of conventional home heating systems. The price of the marble radiators starts at £400.
