Wanted: Streetwize Young Boy Singer
Global boy band auditions reach UK
May 11, 2006 - Press Dispensary - New York music mogul Lou Pearlman (Back Street Boys, N*SYNC and Britney Spears) has teamed up with the UK's Global Music Management (G.M.M.) in the major launch of a new global boy band, Streetwize
(http://www.myspace.com/streetwizeofficial), and has announced London auditions in June for the band's fifth and final member.
The idea behind Streetwize is to bring together five young boys from different parts of the world, with stunning looks and voices to match, to perform music from the writers who made Back Street Boys, N*SYNC and Westlife famous. The multi-national concept enhances the band's international prospects by promising a national fan-base in each of the boys' own countries. If Pearlman’s past successes are anything to go by, Streetwize could be set for a rollercoaster ride to the top of the charts worldwide.
Speaking on behalf of Streetwize, project manager Paul Tinney said: "We’ve already received many entries from Australia, South Africa and New Zealand but we believe there’s a lot of talent in the UK and we’re keen to audition there first.”
The other members of the band are presently in Florida preparing for their launch but will be in London to attend the June auditions. Tinney continued: “The boys are anxious to find the final member of the line-up as they’re due to go into the studio. The next few months will be extremely busy as we set out to create a global band to rival the success of the Back Street Boys.”
Auditions will be held by G.M.M. and Lou Pearlman until 12 June. Hopefuls aged between 15 and 19 years old, offering a high range or good falsetto voice and stunning looks, are invited to visit http://www.myspace.com/streetwizeofficial or e-mail a photo and demo (including landline telephone number) to

Notes for editors
Streetwize is the idea of Irishman Paul Tinney, who started the project 3 years ago while managing a 13 year old singer. After a year’s research, the project was launched with global auditions in Sweden and Ireland in January 2005.
Music impresario and billionaire business tycoon Lou Pearlman has recently bought the rights to launch the UK's Top of the Pops TV chart show in the USA and his last pop project spawned from a reality MTV show has already gone gold in Germany. He is the genius behind "Making of the band" on MTV, while his business interests range from recording studios to chartered airlines. Four of the Streetwize members have been spending time at his billionaire pad in Orlando, Florida, where the cameras are already rolling on a Latino project he is backing.
