Doctor Energy Prescribes Power Saving Devices for Well Being of Purse and Planet
June 15, 2006 - Press Dispensary - Doctor Energy (http://www.doctorenergy.co.uk), online retailer of power saving and eco aware devices, is launching its latest range of products for the home and garden. In the wake of recent hose pipe bans and rising fuel costs, Doctor Energy seeks to offer the UK's widest available choice of products to bring down household bills, reduce wasted resources and aid environmental conservation.
Doctor Energy products enable any householder to make appreciable savings over time, and items in the online store, many of which will be new to the 'typical' consumer, include: insulating paint that can save up to 25% on household bills; plug-in power conditioners to reduce electricity consumption by up to 20%; smart meters, which show householders when they are using most energy; and Drought Beater which allows bath and sink water to be recycled for use in the garden, even when there's a hosepipe ban.
Doctor Energy's John Williams comments: "We established Doctor Energy following research that showed how difficult it was for the average consumer to find products that go beyond old favourites like loft insulation and energy efficient light bulbs. By tackling many different aspects of our environment, we can all achieve economic and environmental savings. But only if we can find the right products."
Doctor Energy is primarily aimed at the domestic market and items are easy to use or fit as part of a DIY or home improvement project.
John Williams continues: "Research by the Energy Saving Trust* shows that three quarters of respondents were worried they would not be able to afford their energy bills in the future and just as many said saving the UK's energy resources and making energy saving a daily part of their lives was something that concerns them."
Energy efficiency can also be a worthwhile form of property investment. Home seller packs are set to become an integral part of the property selling process and it is expected that good efficiency rating will increase a property's value. The energy efficiency of a house could become as essential as the colour of a bathroom suite.
Williams concludes: "Improving energy efficiency can save money on bills and add pounds to the value of a home for a small investment. Doctor Energy can assist anyone looking to reduce their energy or water demands to find reasonably priced products".
