Crackattack Solves Winter Windscreen Woes
September 05, 2006 - Press Dispensary - Check the tyres, top up the antifreeze, and watch out for windscreen cracks - winter's on its way. Supplier of DIY windscreen repair kits Crackattack ( http://www.crackattack.co.uk ), is preparing early this year to meet consumer demand for its quick fix remedy for chips, bull’s-eyes and cracks.
Hail, grit and icy conditions can all be contributory causes of windscreen damage during a cold snap. The repair kits, which are available to buy online for £29.99 incl postage, can be used on all types of laminated windscreens and are most effective in preventing further damage if applied as soon as a crack appears.
Crackattack is simple to apply and comes in a blister pack with easy to follow instructions. It comprises an applicator which injects a durable resin into the glass to repair and minimise damage and produces an almost unblemished appearance in minutes. The formula works most effectively on small, round indents of not more than 2.5cm in diameter and cracks of up to 10cm.
Customers using the kits have prolonged the life of their windscreens, successfully avoiding making claims on their insurance policies – which can frequently incur a substantial excess amount - and have kept their no claims bonus as a result.
Damage repaired using the kit will pass a MOT test in most cases. Otherwise, repairing or replacing damaged vehicle windscreens can be time-consuming and costly procedure, with prices typically starting at 50.00 GBP for a repair. The reusable kit offers excellent value for money by providing sufficient materials to deal with subsequent windscreen mishaps.
Mr Roberts, a Crackattack customer from Warwickshire, comments: "I was sceptical about the Crackattack product, but not wanting to pay out for a new windscreen for just a penny size bull’s-eye, I gave it a go. The results were impressive. The crack is almost invisible unless you’re looking for it and the windscreen was deemed sufficiently safe by testing standards at my vehicle’s recent MOT."
