Press Dispensary - February 12, 2004 - Two web sites designed and developed by London based digital agency, Underwired, launch simultaneously today. CDC Group, the government's instrument for investing in the private sector of developing economies, gains a presence at www.cdcgroup.com. Meanwhile, Actis, a new private equity investor brand, sees a major web site launched at www.act.is.
Underwired was commissioned at the end of 2003 to develop the two Sites - reflecting the new identities developed by brand consultancy, The Partners. Actis, which was created earlier this year from CDC Capital Partners and announced by the Secretary of State for International Development, Hilary Benn, MP, wanted to detail its global activities, which include the management of funds totalling $2.5billion. The brief included the creation of dynamically generated content areas covering investments in emerging markets all over the world.
Underwired is also publicising Actis through its specialist SEO and Online PR division, which recently won Oxfam's site launch business.
Felix Velarde, director of Underwired, comments: \042Actis has a culture based on helping emerging economies develop through inward investment. The belief they have in their work has shone through - it's been a pleasure to work with their internal team.\042
Underwired's clients include Friends Reunited, BBC, National Missing Persons Helpline, VSO, JAZZFM, and Penguin Books.
