Press release from Press Dispensary

Press Dispensary - February 23, 2006 - Aspiral Learning International (http://www.aspiralearning.com), a UK and Hong Kong based consultancy, is introducing Sense People - a specialist human resource management (HRM) programme that gives clients access to practical and affordable external expertise. Currently under trial, the programme will launch officially in September 2006.

Based on Aspiral Learning?s experience in designing learning systems and helping organisations strengthen their management practice, Sense People is ideal for HR professionals who want to learn new skills, develop their networks and achieve best practice, as well as being supported in the implementation of a specific HR project within their organisation.

Lise Melvin, associated director of Aspiral Learning, says: 'All too frequently, lack of resources prevents our not-for-profit and public sector clients from developing a higher level of professional practices amongst their staff ? despite this being expected by their stakeholders. The HR department, at the centre of performance improvement directives, often struggles to access relevant and affordable expertise either through external consulting or training.'

She adds: 'This is why Sense People is so important. Through a tried-and-tested workshop-based programme, it brings together the latest HR knowledge and a wealth of relevant experience from experts and peers. It helps the human resource managers perform their roles better and implement ?people projects? they could not necessary do on their own.'

Sense People comprises proactive consulting, coaching and shared learning activities. It builds on the collective knowledge and capacity of a group of 24 selected HR managers, aided by a team of expert consultants, facilitators and guest speakers who all specialise in HRM and in the management of capacity-building projects.

Sense People participants must work towards a specific HRM project in their own organisation. Supported by the programme team from the start of the project, for a period of five months, participants explore and share concepts, ideas, advice, support and materials, as well as gathering HRM intelligence, learning transferable skills and making informed decisions about their project.

Ajay Barai, learning and creation director of Sense People, says: 'Sense People is more affordable than employing an equivalent external consultancy. It takes a no-nonsense, hands-on approach, combining consulting, coaching, problem-solving and professional development skills with a focus on individual project challenges. Sense People works in a real life context from day one, rather than existing merely in the context of a workshop or classroom. We know it makes sense!'
