Press Dispensary - December 11, 2006 - Car manufacturer Peugeot has appointed digital agency, Underwired ( http://www.underwired.com ) to its online roster, which it has slimmed down from 12 to four agencies in a competitive pitch process spanning three months.
Peugeot sold one and a quarter million cars in Western Europe in 2005. It is part of the PSA Peugeot Citroën group, Europe's second largest automotive manufacturer.
Felix Velarde, Underwired's managing partner, said: "Underwired has
gone from strength to strength in 2006, and its success with Peugeot rounds off the year in style."
He adds: "Here at Underwired, we're big fans of Peugeot cars. Our creative director, Jason Holland, drove a 206 when they first came out, and the concept 'é-pure' car is absolutely gorgeous. Admiring the vehicles aside, we must get our heads down and work hard to help drive sales in 2007."
As well as its Peugeot win, Underwired has started working with LA Fitness on a significant six figure website development, and recently beefed up its team with new head of client services, Emma Nicol. The company predicts significant growth in 2007.
