uMail from Ubiquity Software Manages Email Marketing with No Installation and Advanced Measurement Tools

Press Dispensary - May 26, 2005 - Based on a Windows-style interface, uMail can be used to distribute email newsletters, product news, reminders, competitions, event announcements and more. It can manage a company’s entire email marketing communications without them having to download or install any software or negotiate the ‘backstage’ admin functions traditionally associated with mailing lists.

With uMail, users can manage their contacts database easily: they can import and export data about their prospects in virtually any format. The system sends personalised, targeted messages to each person on the database. Addressing contacts by name and referencing their interests strengthens the user’s brand and improves response rates. uMail users can also create fully customised registration forms on which contacts can join and leave the list and update their company details.

Unlike standard list servers, uMail includes advanced, real-time reporting facilities which log the contacts’ responses to the emails they receive. The resulting reports and statistics mean users can analyse each aspect of their email communications - from the number of emails read to the number of people who clicked a link – and measure which marketing activities work best for their business.

To reduce administration tasks, uMail handles bounced emails, automates subscriptions and removes unwanted contacts, which saves time and ensures users comply with email marketing standards.

uMail is hosted on Ubiquity Software’s secure server which has RSA encryption technology, backed up with a commitment to store data according to industry best practices. It runs on the Microsoft .NET framework so it is flexible and capable of being integrated with the user’s existing systems. It can also be integrated with third party applications such as Microsoft CRM.

The cost of using uMail is varies according to the options taken: all users must pay a setup fee of NZD 95.00 (approx. 36.60 GBP) to create a mailing list and NZD 25.00 (approx. 9.60 GBP) per 1/4 MB of data storage per month.*

Costs for each message sent via the system are based on the level of customisation and the inclusion of registration forms. Plan 1, which offers the standard uMail look and feel for registration forms and places a uMail logo on each message, costs NZD 0.03 (12p) per email. Plan 2, in which the user can add their own images and design a header and footer for the registration forms and where a uMail footer appears on each message, costs NZD 0.05 (19p) per email. Plan 3, where the user can fully customise the registration forms to match their brand identity, costs NZD 0.06 (23p) per email.
