Barbican Appoints BIMA Award-Winning Underwired for eCRM
Press Dispensary - February 03, 2006 - Specialist digital and eCRM agency, Underwired (http://www.underwired.com), is working with the Barbican to manage the growth of its eCRM and online marketing activities.
Immediate projects for Barbican resulting from Underwired’s new appointment include search engine optimisation (SEO), data consultancy and eCRM planning. Lazar Dzamic, head of planning at Underwired, will be responsible for creating the eCRM strategy, which will kick off with a series of test activities later this month. Dzamic led the team which recently won the BIMA award for best eCRM / email campaign for Virgin Holidays.
Lucy Conlan, Barbican’s senior marketing manager, said: 'The Barbican has recently launched a new website which is improving our online sales significantly. However, the full potential of using email as a communication tool to meet customer expectations and promote the wide offering of arts events really needed to be developed further. So, Underwired was appointed; they not only demonstrated a sound strategic and practical knowledge of CRM applications but also showed a good understanding of our marketplace.'
Ruth Brecher, who heads up SEO division of Underwired PR, comments: 'The Barbican has a diverse range of arts activities aimed at numerous audiences and the project will be an enjoyable challenge for us.' Brecher recently ran a SEO campaign for agency selection consultancy AAR, achieving top five rankings out of more than eight million results in Google.
