Marketscan Adds Experian to Mighty UK Marketing Megabase
November 09, 2011, Chichester, East Sussex. Press Dispensary. Marketscan (http://www.marketscan.co.uk ), a Chichester-based specialist in data services for direct marketing purposes, is entering into a licensing agreement with Experian (http://www.experian.co.uk ), the global information services company. The recently signed deal will provide Marketscan with monthly downloads from Experian’s National Business Database, which has 5.1 million limited and non-limited business records.
The addition of the Experian data enables Marketscan to offer even more comprehensive UK coverage whilst maintaining quality and granularity of data. Thanks to the breadth and quality of its data and its innovative services, Marketscan also recently won the 'Outstanding B2B Data Provider' category at the 'Database Marketing Awards 2011'.
An independent company with a dedicated and highly professional team, Marketscan caters for any client - from SMEs to major corporates - that wishes to develop its business and acquire new customers. Marketscan specialises in providing a range of fully-featured targeting packages that helps marketers reach business-to-business sales leads, as well as enhancing clients' CRM databases. Experienced advisors are always available, but selections can also be made online using the company's ListBuilder™ interface.
In order to fulfil its wide range of services including the supply of sales leads, customer profiling, database cleaning and analysis, and bespoke programmes, Marketscan determined that its customers needed constant access to a "master database of UK business": a requirement that led the Marketscan team to develop its 'UK Business Megabase' to provide incomparable quality, depth of information and market coverage.
And now, with the fresh agreement with Experian, the Marketscan 'Megabase' can offer a higher degree of accuracy, providing marketers with the information they need to target their chosen audiences carefully.
Julie Knight, MD of Marketscan, comments: "The addition of Experian’s National Business Database, which is the one of the most comprehensive on the market, significantly boosts our existing 'UK Business Megabase'.
"Many rival databases were originally developed for purposes other than marketing, such as directory compilation or credit rating. Specifically built for marketers, Marketscan’s 'Megabase' has existed only as a marketing database and contains a unique business classification, based on market sectors, which gives greater accuracy than the conventional SIC system."
